Five AHS musicians took home top placings in a Texas Music Educators Association competition conducted last week. In 4A band junior TJ West won first chair tuba; freshman Noah Roper first chair euphonium; senior Wills Ward fourth chair trombone; and sophomore Georgia Jenkins fifth chair trombone. Sophomore Randye-Nicole Harris won second chair French horn in the 5A Philharmonic Orchestra.
