City of Aledo, Aledo ISD School Board to cancel elections



No candidates have filed opposite the incumbents on either the Aledo City Council or the Aledo Independent School Board, so May general elections for both entities will be cancelled, according to Aledo City Secretary Deana McMullen and AISD Business Office Administrative Assistant Ann Grace.

For the City of Aledo, Kerby Smith will continue to serve in City Council Place 1, Bill McLeRoy in City Council Place 3 and Matt Casey in City Council Place 5.

For the Aledo Independent School District, Steve Bartley will continue to serve in Place 4 and Bobby Rigues in Place 5.
