Super Bowl send off

ALEDO — Mioshi and Christopher Johnson, the wife and son of Chris Johnson, a cornerback for the Baltimore Ravens, got a super Super Bowl send off from Chris’s fellow students at McCall Elementary in Willow Park Wednesday.

Students and teachers dressed in the team’s colors, carried balloons and  signed a banner the Johnsons will take with them as they head out on an 8-hour car trip to New Orleans Thursday for the big event Sunday.

A pep rally was also held at McAnally Intermediate so students could celebrate with Chris’s brother, Brannon Webb.

Families of the players attend a special reception, Mioshi said, and they get to sit in the end zone for the game.
