TC and Dorothy Mitchell celebrate their 70th anniversary on Tax Day!

Weatherford residents TC and Dorothy Mitchell celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary April 15. They met at a dance where TC was the fiddler in the band and Dorothy asked him to dance during Ladies Choice. Through deployment to Japan in WWII, two kids, five grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, and a career as a wildcatter and mechanic, TC and Dorothy learned the secrets to a happy, long marriage. They encourage each other’s passions (music and bridge!) and don’t go to bed angry. Congratulations to Grandmama and Granddaddy Mitchell! We love you!

The Air Force Academy recently graduated their first openly gay cadets. What does this signify?

Nothing. There have always been gay cadets, they just haven't been open.
A step backward. Sexual orientation issues shouldn't be a part of the military.
A step forward. The military needs to be open to people of all backgrounds.
No opinion.
