Springtown varsity basketball ended its postseason play on Monday, upended by Burkburnett, 59-56. The Lady Porcupines led for most of the bi-district contest until a fourth-quarter surge by Burkburnett’s Lady Bulldogs. Pictured is senior Becca Dauenhauer, in a district game earlier this season. Becca, and her sister Brooklyn Dauenhauer led the Pojo effort, scoring 16 and 22 points respectively. Springtown’s 2012-13 campaign saw the Lady Porcupines finish second in District 6-3A, with a 8-2 record. Aledo’s girls advanced to the area round on Monday, beating Burleson handily, 67-48. The Ladycats move to the Class 4A, Area round, meeting Saginaw on Thursday at Chisolm Trail High School. Tip-off is scheduled for 7 p.m.
