Aledo’s Johnathan Gray may have been finished running through opposing high school defenses by 2012, but his assault on local, state and national awards did not slow in January. Shown here after receiving U.S. Air Force recognition for the nation’s top football player, Gray also took (among others) Gridiron Legends Player of the Year, ESPN’s Mr. Football and after being named Gatorade’s State and National Football Player of the Year, was subsequently chosen as the National Male Athlete of the Year by Gatorade. Gray attends and plays football for the University of Texas.
