0215 BBk Poolville seniors

Poolville’s pair of senior players helped lead the Monarchs to an undefeated District 11-1A, Division I slate, culminating with a dramatic, come-from-behind win over the Collinsville Pirates on Tuesday, 51-50, using stout defense and clutch shooting down the stretch to preserve its unblemished district mark. Finishing its regular season with a 30-6 record, Poolville has had 30-win seasons three of the past four years. The state coaches’ poll currently ranks the Monarchs in the top ten in Class 1A, Div. I. Pictured are, left to right, Cesar Lopez (manager), Tanner Dobbs and Hunter Ranspot. Before entering state playoffs next week, the Monarchs will play a warm-up match against No. 5-ranked, 1A-Div. II Calvert on Saturday, at the Wilkerson- Grimes Center, in Fort Worth.
