Aledo's hard-charging defense took control early, and kept it, in the regional playoff game against the Hereford Whitefaces Saturday, at Grande Communications Stadium in Midland. The Bearcats held Hereford's pass-happy offense in check until late in the final period with the game well in hand, to defeat the Whitefaces, 35-13. Aledo faces Everman next, on Saturday.
