TCU Football's Dawson and Tucker in All-Star Game

FORT WORTH —

TCU wide receiver Skye Dawson and tailback Matthew Tucker will play in the Feb. 2 Texas vs. The Nation All-Star Game in Allen, Texas.

Dawson and Tucker give the Horned Frogs four players in postseason All-Star contests. Linebacker Kenny Cain is in the Jan. 11 Casino Del Sol College All-Star Game in Tucson, Ariz., while offensive guard Blaize Foltz will appear in the Jan. 19 East-West Shrine Game in St. Petersburg, Fla.

Tucker closed his career 10th on TCU's all-time rushing list with 2,602 yards. He ranks third with 33 rushing touchdowns. The Tyler, Texas, native placed second on TCU this season with 515 yards and a team-best six rushing scores.

Dawson finished third on TCU with 34 receptions for 455 yards this season. He was one of two players in the Big 12 to rank in the top five in the conference in both punt returns (9.4 average) and kickoff returns (23.1 average).

A Mesquite, Texas, native, Dawson was a three-time track and field conference champion and 2012 All-American in the 4x100 relay. He won the 2010 Mountain West Indoor Championship in the 60 meters with a 6.69, the third-fastest time in MW history.

Tucker and Dawson were both four-year lettermen and honorable-mention All-Big 12 selections. They helped lead TCU to a 43-9 record, three conference championships, four bowl games, including two BCS contests, and a Rose Bowl championship during their time on campus.
