TCU Sends Three to NFL Combine

—

Former TCU standouts Josh Boyce, Stansly Maponga and Matthew Tucker will take part in the 2013 NFL Combine Feb. 20-26 in Indianapolis.

Boyce, who received his TCU degree in December, is the Horned Frogs' career leader in touchdown catches (22) while ranking second in receiving yards (2,535) and third in receptions (161), despite playing just three seasons. His 66 catches in 2012 set a TCU single-season record.

Boyce took part in two of the four-longest plays in TCU history. His 94-yard touchdown catch from Trevone Boykin with 1:28 left in the fourth quarter at West Virginia forced overtime in an eventual Horned Frog victory this past season. It was the third-longest play from scrimmage at TCU. Boyce also had a 93-yard scoring grab from Andy Dalton in a 2010 win at Utah.

Boyce gave the Horned Frogs the 39-38 win at West Virginia with a diving grab in the end zone for a 2-point conversion in the second overtime. Boyce also had a 2-point catch for the go-ahead points with 1:05 to play in TCU's 36-35 win at Boise State in 2011.

Maponga, a three-time all-conference selection, totaled 23 tackles for loss, including 15 1/2 sacks, in his three-year TCU career.

Tucker leaves TCU third on the school's career rushing touchdown list with 33. He ranks 10th in rushing yards with 2,602. He was among the Horned Frogs' top-three rushers in all four of his seasons.

In his first 11 seasons as the Horned Frogs' head coach, Gary Patterson had 31 players drafted with 65 in NFL camps.

In 2011, ESPN.com ranked TCU No. 1 in the nation for developing NFL talent.

The Horned Frogs have 15 players active in the NFL with 12 having their TCU degree in hand.
