WEATHERFORD —  

Team Notes

*TCU made its Big 12 debut and improved to 4-1-1 when playing its first game in a new conference.

*The Horned Frogs extended their nation’s best winning streak to 10 games. TCU posted its 25th consecutive conference victory, also tops in the country.

*TCU has not allowed a touchdown in its opening two games.

*TCU improved to 2-0 for the seventh time in head coach Gary Patterson’s 12-year tenure.

*The Horned Frogs improved to 79-2 when allowing 17 points or less under Patterson.

*TCU is now 18-2 in its last 20 road games.

Individual Notes 

*Casey Pachall completed his first five passes to set a TCU record with 16 consecutive completions. The streak dated back to his final two pass attempts in the 2011 Poinsettia Bowl. The previous Horned Frog mark was 14 by Jeff Ballard in 2006.

*Pachall finished the game 24-of-30 in the air and is now 33-of-39 (84.6 percent) overall this season.

*Pachall’s 335 yards passing represented the second-best game of his career, surpassed only by his 473 yards at Boise State last season.

*Pachall’s 8-yard first-quarter scoring pass to Brandon Carter marked TCU’s first touchdown in a Big 12 game.

*Carter posted his second career 100-yard game with a personal-best eight receptions for 141 yards and two touchdowns. He also added a 14-yard rush. Carter's first 100-yard effort was 120 yards on four catches and two touchdowns in a win at Boise State last season. 

*Josh Boyce’s 100th career reception was an 8-yard catch on the game’s opening play. He finished with five receptions for 66 yards and now has 104 career catches.

*LaDarius Brown’s 12-yard first-quarter reception was his first collegiate catch. He had five receptions for 70 yards.

*Waymon James just missed his third career 100-yard rushing game with a team-high 99 yards on 12 carries.

*Joel Hasley (Aledo High School) led TCU with a career-high 12 tackles, including two sacks.

*Sam Carter recorded his first career interception.

*Jaden Oberkrom’s first career field goals were 37- and 27-yard efforts.

*Punter Ethan Perry and defensive tackle Terrell Lathan became the 14th and 15th true freshmen to see action for TCU this season.

    FORT WORTH, Texas - Fresh off a 64-63 upset victory over No. 22 Oklahoma State, TCU will look to continue its winning ways in league play Saturday against West Virginia, beginning at 7:00 p.m. Saturday’s contest will mark the fourth meeting between the Frogs and Mountaineers in program history. In all, the two programs have never met in Fort Worth.
