Lone Star Ag Credit announces new chief credit officer

WEATHERFORD —

Lone Star, ACA (Lone Star Ag Credit), the premier agricultural lender in North Texas, would like to announce the new appointment of Troy Bussmeir as chief credit officer for the association. Bussmeir, a native of Washington state, has 11 years experience in the Farm Credit System and most recently served as the vice president and association relationship manager for Farm Credit Bank of Texas where he was responsible for overseeing the lending relationship between Farm Credit Bank of Texas and its affiliated associations.

“We are proud to have Troy join the Lone Star Ag Credit team. His expertise in our industry is top-notch and we know he will be an asset to our association,” said Bruce Duncan, Lone Star Ag Credit chairman of the board.

In February, Lone Star named Steve Fowlkes as the chief executive officer of the association. Fowlkes and Bussmeir worked together at Farm Credit Bank of Texas.

“Lone Star believes that the pairing of Steve and Troy will be a tremendous advantage to our association. These two men have the background, knowledge and experience that will benefit our cooperative and our stockholders,” Duncan said.

Lone Star Ag Credit understands the importance of serving the financial needs of the rural communities in North Texas. It is our mission to build lifetime relationships with our borrowers while providing them with financial solutions for their operations.

Bussmeir said, “I look forward to serving Lone Star Ag Credit, our stockholders and the agricultural industry of North Texas.”

For more than 90 years, Lone Star Ag Credit has been a reliable source of financing for Rural America.

Lone Star Ag Credit’s administrative offices are located in Fort Worth with credit offices located in Sweetwater, Abilene, Stephenville, Weatherford, Cleburne, Denton, Sherman, Paris, Mount Pleasant, Clarksville and New Boston.
