Trinity Christian Academy has the answer to parents who are looking for something educational yet fun for their kids this summer. TCA invites the community to experience the first annual “Tcamps.” “Tcamps” provides kids from Kindergarten through sixth grade a chance to learn a new skill, meet new friends and relax in a safe, fun environment during the heat of the summer.
The enrichment camps will have two one-week segments which last from June 8-12 and June 15-19. Camp Week I allows for third through sixth grade to learn more about Scrapbooking Fun and Weaving. Also, fourth through sixth grade have an option to explore Art Smart: Drawing Basics.
Camp Week II has Machine Mania for Kindergarten through second graders who enjoy finding out how machines work. Edible Arranging and Printmaking are available for third through sixth graders. Each class is two hours long, and the class fee covers all supplies used during the camp.
Additionally, there is a two-week “Broadway Blast – A Music and Theater Camp” from July 21 through Aug. 1. This camp is for second through sixth grade. Each camper will learn the basics of theater including audition etiquette. Also, the campers will perform a production at the close of camp.
“We are excited to offer these opportunities for children to have fun and learn in this environment during the summer,” Camp Director Kim Wheat said.
Each class is taught by a TCA teacher or administrator. Enrollment is on a first come, first serve basis, and class placement is based on current grade completed.
Space is limited and general enrollment will end on June 5. For a complete list of summer camp activities, please contact Kim Wheat at (817) 441-5897 ext. 20 or go to HYPERLINK "http://www.tcaeagles.org" www.tcaeagles.org for the camp brochure.
