WEATHERFORD — Texas AgriLife Extension will offer a Safe Sitter course from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday, Aug. 8, at the Parker County Agricultural Service Center in Weatherford.
Safe Sitter is a medically accurate program that teaches boys and girls ages 11 to 18 how to handle emergencies when caring for children. The class teaches safe and nutrition child care techniques, behavior management skills and appropriate responses to medical emergencies.
The cost of the program is $30 that will cover materials and lunch.
To register for Safe Sitter, call the Parker County Extension office at 817-598-6168.

The Natural Bridge Caverns take “deep in the heart of Texas Hill Country” to a whole new meaning. With depths reaching 260 feet underground, it is Texas’ largest-known cavern and consistently ranks as one of the state’s top tourist destinations.
