WPD Crime Report

Weatherford Police Department

The following offenses were observed or reported to the Weatherford Police Department on Monday, Oct. 26, 2009.

Criminal mischief

Oct. 26: 3000 block Lakeway Drive, an employee of Matks Construction Company reported that between 6 a.m. and 8 a.m. unknown suspect(s) had damaged several road barricades by apparently hitting the barricades with a vehicle.

Burglary of a vehicle

Oct. 26: 200 block Atwood Court, a complainant reported that between 3 a.m. and 7 a.m. unknown suspect(s) had entered into his vehicle without consent and stole a laptop computer.

Harassment

Oct. 26: 1200 block Franklin Street, a complainant reported that she had been receiving harassing, anonymous telephone calls from an unknown suspect.

Oct. 26: 1900 block South Main, a complainant reported that she had been receiving harassing and threatening text messages from a known acquaintance.

Arrest

The following offenses were observed or reported to the Weatherford Police Department on Tuesday, Oct. 27, 2009.

Theft

Oct. 27: 100 block Atwood Court, at 9 p.m. a complainant contacted Police and reported that he had interrupted an unknown male suspect attempting to steal his pickup truck from the parking lot of Fire Academy. The complainant reported that he had gone into the parking lot and observed the suspect attempting to back his vehicle out of a parking space. The complainant stated that he was able to removed the suspect from the vehicle and detain him until Police arrived. The suspect was arrested for theft over $1,500.

Oct. 28: 100 block Mimosa Street, a complainant reported that between 12:30 a.m. and 1 a.m. unknown suspect(s) had stolen approximately four gallons of gasoline from her vehicle that was parked at the apartment complex.

Credit card abuse

Oct. 27: 1800 block South Main, a complainant reported that she had recently discovered that an unknown suspect had used her credit card number without consent for several purchases at the local Tractor Supply.

Harassment

Oct. 27: 1900 block South Main, a complainant reported that she had been receiving harassing and threatening text messages from her ex-husband.

Arrest

Driving while intoxicated – 1
