GARNER – Garner ISD’s Junior High One-Act Play students recently experienced Japanese culture and took an educational trip to enjoy lunch at Tokyo Steakhouse in Weatherford.
They wore their costumes they used in the play, “Dragon of the Winds,” consisting of traditional Japanese kimonos. The Japanese words they learned were used for restaurant etiquette.
Garner’s performance of “Dragon of the Winds” was successful in the University Interscholastic League junior high One-Act Play competition at Petrolia High School in Petrolia on Dec. 11. There, the GJH cast and crew placed third overall.
