Weatherford Christian School to begin open enrollment

Weatherford Christian School will begin accepting applications for new family enrollment for 2013-14 at 8 a.m. Monday at both the elementary and secondary campuses.

There is limited space in some classes and scholarships as well as multi-child, minister and first responders discounts are available.

Weatherford Christian School offers pre-K  through 12th grade classes and is dually accredited by the National Christian Schools Association (NCSA) and Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS)/AdvancED. It is also a registered member of the Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI).

Weatherford Christian School provides a positive, safe, non-denominational Christ-centered learning environment where church, family and school work together to ensure the students are motivated to serve God and man academically, spiritually, physically and socially. All kindergarten through 12th grade teachers are state certified and have numerous years of experience. The faculty also includes two remarkably gifted pre-kindergarten teachers.

The student-teacher ratio is limited to 12:1 in pre-kindergarten; 16:1 in kindergarten; and 20:1 in all other grades. WCS values small class size as an important factor in providing a quality education and individualized instruction.

Weatherford Christian School has graduated four senior classes and since 2009 these graduating students have earned over $2.5 million dollars in academic scholarships to major universities. The private Christian school offers drama, junior ambassadors, academic competitions, art, yearbook, National Honor Society, basketball, volleyball, soccer, track, tennis and golf.

Every day is open house at Weatherford Christian School, so schedule a family tour by contacting Tracy Garvin, enrollment coordinator, by calling 817-596-7807. Families can also visit the WCS website at www.wcslions.org for more information.
