WEATHERFORD —
A woman accused of striking her husband with a vehicle during an argument and the alleged victim, reportedly tasered during a struggle with responding deputies, were arrested late Sunday.
Angela Chrystal Marceau, 42, of Weatherford, was arrested on a 2nd degree felony charge of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, while her husband, William John Marceau, 35, was arrested on a class A misdemeanor charge of resisting arrest, search or transport.
Deputies were dispatched to the intersection of Ross Lane and West Highway 199 regarding a domestic disturbance call around 9 p.m. Sunday.
A responding deputy found Angela Marceau, who reportedly told the deputy that she and her husband has been fighting at their residence and on the side of the roadway.
Angela Marceau told the deputy that her husband was in the passenger seat of the vehicle and was trying to make her stop the car so he could get out, according to the deputy’s probable cause statement. After being let out, he reportedly began kicking the side of the vehicle.
The wife said she sped away from her husband but turned around to pick him up and he began screaming and yelling at her from the side of the roadway.
“A. Marceau stated she drove back to her husband’s location and he began to get violent with her so she ‘grazed’ him with her vehicle,” the deputy wrote. “A. Marceau stated when she hit her husband with the vehicle he was attempting to hand on the side and try to get in.”
Marceau reportedly said she then went to try to get him back in the vehicle and he told her he wouldn’t get in unless he was the driver.
As she reportedly exited the driver’s side and began to walk around the vehicle, he reportedly left her on the side of the roadway.
Deputies arrested her at the scene.
At the couple’s residence, deputies reportedly found the husband leaving the house and attempted to speak with him about the incident.
After deputies reportedly identified themselves, the man told them he was leaving for Oklahoma, according to a deputy’s statement.
Marceau tried to walk past the deputies and told them to get off his property and that he wasn’t going anywhere, according to the sheriff’s office.
Both deputies told him to stop and tried grabbed the man to stop him from leaving but he reportedly jerked away.
After a deputy told him to stop or they would use aTaser on him, Marceau reportedly turned around and began approaching the deputy when the deputy used the stun gun.
Marceau refused to put his hands behind his back as he was lay on his stomach on the ground, according to the deputy.
As they attempted to place Marceau in the vehicle, he reportedly threw himself on the ground and told them “I’m not getting in the back of your car unless you make me.”
He continued struggling before he was placed in the car, the deputy wrote.
Both husband and wife remained in the Parker County Jail Monday evening.
