WEATHERFORD — Weatherford police are seeking help identifying a man who robbed a convenience store clerk early Wednesday morning at gunpoint.
Officers responded to a report of an aggravated robbery at the On The Run/Exxon in the 1800 block of South Main Street shortly before 3 a.m. Wednesday.
The 21-year-old store clerk reported a man - described as a black male in his 30s, 5-foot, 10-inches to 6-foot tall, 160 to 170 pounds, wearing a black t-shirt, black pants and black ball cap - robbed the store while displaying a handgun.
The man reportedly entered the store, went to the bathroom, bought some candy and left before coming back in a short time later and pulling a camouflage-type mask over his face as he entered.
He then produced a handgun and told the woman to give him the money from the register or her would harm her, according to polce.
More than $300 was reported stolen, according to a police report.
The suspect reportedly fled northbound from the store and is believed to have possibly gotten into a dark-colored passenger car.
