The Fourth Annual Pink Luncheon might still be a few months away, but the Parker County Health Foundation is already hard at work recruiting sponsors for the charitable event.
Scheduled for Oct. 9, the luncheon has gained in popularity over the last few years. All proceeds raised from the event stay in Parker County, and go to provide mammograms and screenings for the under-served women in the area.
Individuals, businesses, and organizations interested in sponsoring the event may choose from three levels of participation, starting at $100 individual seats, and going up to $1,000 “Pink Diamond” level recognized sponsorships.
“We’ve had great response in the past from the community, and we’re hoping that continues this year,” said Donna Kirkpatrick, executive director. “We’re really looking forward to this year’s luncheon.”
The featured speaker will be Janine Turner, an actress and the author of “Holding Her Head High”. Two familiar faces will serve as emcees for the event, Deborah Ferguson of NBC 5, and Weatherford College’s own Brent Baker.
