WEATHERFORD —
Three men were arrested Thursday in connection with an alleged drug deal near the WISD Ninth Grade Center, according to Weatherford police.
Logan Thomas Grace, 20, Toby Douglas Greer, 20, and Aaron Blake Josey, 22, were arrested on drug charges, according to Parker County Jail records.
Investigators with the Parker County Special Crimes Unit were looking into a tip that Grace was possibly selling narcotics out of his home in the 100 block of West Anderson, and that most transactions occurred near a business in the 1100 block of South Main Street, according to the probable cause affidavit.
While in the area, officers with SCU observed Grace exit his house and run to the back of the business and followed him.
They observed Grace conducting what they believed to be a hand-to-hand narcotics transaction with a man later identified as Josey, according to police.
When the officers attempted to speak with the men and identified themselves as police officers, the men ran, according to the probable cause statement.
Grace, wearing a black hat, blue jeans and a red T-shirt with writing on the front, ran west and north on South Waco before an officer lost sight of him, according to the officer.
The officer returned to Grace’s residence, and saw a white pickup pulling out of the driveway at a high rate of speed.
The driver saw the officer walking down the street and got out of the truck. He was identified as Greer, according to police.
Grace’s mother gave officers consent to search the house and the officer found blue jeans, a black baseball hat and a red T-shirt with writing on it laying on the bed.
Other officers located Grace outside, laying under a vehicle in the driveway, and took him into custody, according to police.
Another officer apprehended Josey as he was getting into a vehicle in front of the business and found two clear plastic baggies containing a green leafy substance.
Josey reportedly told police he had just purchased 3 grams of marijuana for $70 from Grace, according to the affidavit.
Grace granted consent to search his room, where officers located two loaded shotguns and a loaded rifle, according to the probable cause statement. Grace has a felony conviction for burglary of a habitation, according to police.
Greer denied consent to search his truck but a Parker County Sheriff’s K-9 reportedly alerted on an open air search of the vehicle. Officers searched the vehicle and found less than 2 ounces of marijuana, more than 28 grams of hydrocodone, digital scales and drug paraphernalia.
Greer told police that Grace had gotten into the vehicle earlier in the day and had a bag with him but Greer did not know the contents of the bag, according to the affidavit.
Josey was arrested on charges of possession of marijuana, less than 2 ounces, in a drug free zone and evading arrest. He posted bond the following day.
Greer was arrested on charges of manufacture or delivery of a controlled substance, more than 28 grams, and possession of marijuana, less than 2 ounces, and was released from the Parker County Jail on bond. Greer was arrested on drug delivery charges in 2010 and received five years probation in 2011, according to Parker County court records.

In addition to the burglary conviction, Grace was arrested on possession of controlled substance and marijuana charges in June and posted bond, according to county records.
