WEATHERFORD —
The death of a man following a motorcycle wreck Friday afternoon was ruled an accident by the Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s office caused by blunt force trauma due to a motorcycle-motor vehicle collision.
The wreck occurred shortly before 2:30 p.m. Friday in a construction zone on Interstate 20 west of Weatherford, according to DPS.
Kevin Harris, 54, of Odessa, was pronounced dead at 3:16 p.m. Friday at Weatherford Regional Hospital, according to the medical examiner’s office.
A 2003 Harley Davidson motorcycle driven by Harris and a 2003 Harley Davidson motorcycle driven by David Baker, 57, of Andrews, were eastbound on Interstate 20 when traffic slowed, and the bike driven by Harris struck the other, throwing Harris to the pavement, according to DPS Senior Trooper Gary Rozzell.
Baker was listed in good condition at John Peter Smith Hospital with scrapes and abrasions, according to Rozzell.
Harris was not wearing a helmet, Rozzell said.
Greenwood VFD and Brock-Dennis VFD, Air Evac and LifeCare also responded to the scene.
