Hooks calls for input on downtown

WEATHERFORD - The City of Weatherford is seeking input from local citizens for a strategic plan for the downtown area.

According to a letter signed by Mayor Dennis Hooks, a stakeholders meeting is slated for Monday at 6 p.m. in the upstairs Community Room at First National Bank.

"Please bring your ideas and input for how we can all work together to make the center of our city the best downtown in Texas," Hooks says in the letter.

The letter also states the downtown beautification and traffic improvement project on the square will be finished early in the fall and planning for downtown Weatherford's future needs to start soon.

"Now it is time to develop a plan for better focusing on the unique and treasured assets of our downtown and central business district," Hooks wrote.
