City's Hometown Heritage festival a success

WEATHERFORD — The first Hometown Heritage Stampede featured entertainers including Buffalo Bill’s Cowboy Band, a 28-piece band period-specific to Buffalo Bill’s 1915 stop in Weatherford. The free event, held Saturday by the City of Weatherford, included The Legends of Texas, the award-winning professional re-enactment group that performs comedy gunfight acts in the Fort Worth Stockyards throughout the summer; children’s activities and games; a costume contest; antique vendors and more.
