WEATHERFORD — The Weatherford Democrat is pleased to announce its inaugural Biggest Loser contest. The contest period is Feb. 26 through May 14.
The rules are simple. To enter the contest, simply fill out an entry form. The forms are published daily in The Weatherford Democrat. Bring the entry form by the newspaper or mail it to 512 Palo Pinto St., Weatherford, Texas 76086. There is no cost to enter, and the contest is open to everyone age 18 and up.
There will be four winners in the Biggest Loser contest. Prizes will be awarded for the most total pounds lost by a male and the most total pounds lost by a female. In addition, prizes will be awarded for the most weight lost as a percentage for a male and female.
The first weigh-in is between 8 a.m. and 6 p.m. Feb. 23, at Powerhouse Gym, located in the College Park Shopping Center. Contestants will weigh in weekly at Powerhouse throughout the contest period. They can miss up to two weigh-ins and still be eligible for the prize packages.
Readers can track the progress of the contestants each Friday beginning Feb. 26. Entrants may use an alternative name for purposes of publication during the contest period, but must fill out the entry form using their real name.
