PARKER COUNTY —
Incumbent Parker County Hospital District Director Jamie Bodiford-Brinkley faces a challenger in the Nov. 6 election.
Bodiford-Brinkley, a 63-year-old real estate agent, currently represents Precinct 3 on the board of directors.
Forty-four-year-old Jack Douglas Sosebee, a Parker County resident, also filed to run for the four-year position.
Both candidates turned in the required application on Aug. 20, the last day to file to be placed on the ballot. It has been four years since there was a contested race for the district board of directors. Melvin Woody, James Austin and David Barbrick, currently representing precincts 1, 2 and 4, all filed to continue filling their currrent positions and face no challengers.
