For the third time in about a year, another home in the 1100 block of Jeremiah Trail in northwest Parker County was destroyed by fire.
Firefighters were dispatched to the house fire around 2 p.m. Monday and found the building about 90 percent involved, according to ESD No. 1 Battalion Chief Jimmy Crook.
Firefighters were unable to do a search of the residence because the structure was so fully involved when they arrived.
The wind was driving the fire, which had spread, creating small grass fire by the time they reached the scene, according to Crook.
It wasn’t clear Monday afternoon how many people were living in the residence at the time or what caused the fire. A message left for the Parker County Fire Marshal’s Office was not returned by deadline.
How many people were home at the time was still being investigated Monday afternoon though firefighters reported they had not received reports of any injuries.
One person was injured in January when a residence several hundred feet away was destroyed by fire, as well.
The Red Cross, as well as fire departments from Silver Creek, La Junta, Springtown, Azle, Briar, Lake Worth and Tarrant County, responded to the blaze.
