PALO PINTO – The Palo Pinto County Extension office and the U.S. Department of Agriculture Natural Resource Conservation Service will host a pesticide continuing education course on Thursday, Jan. 17. This will provide attendees with five continuing-education hours toward a private-applicator’s or non-commercial applicator’s license renewal.
Registration for the workshop begins at 8:30 a.m., with classes beginning at 9 a.m. The workshop should conclude at approximately 3 p.m.
A workshop fee of $20 per person includes lunch. Those attending the full workshop will receive five continuing-education hours – two general, two integrated pest management and one laws and regulations.

8:30-9 a.m. – Registration.
9-10 a.m. – Brush management, Dr. Will Hatler.
10-11 a.m. – Drift management, Fred Hall.
11 a.m.-noon – External parasite control on cattle, Dr. Sonja Swiger.
Noon-1 p.m. – Barbeque lunch.
1-2 p.m. – Pecan IPM and grasshopper control, Dr. Bill Ree.
2-3 p.m. – Laws and regulations, Henry Krusekoph.
