Three teens hurt in wreck

PARKER COUNTY — Three of four teens involved in a one vehicle wreck around 2:30 p.m. Friday in the 2700 block of Cool Junction Road near Millsap were transported from the scene for injuries.

A neighbor said she heard a boom and, when she came out of the house, found a young man lying on her driveway, two others out of the vehicle and a fourth trying to get out.

A white pickup truck appeared to have been southbound when it went off the west side of the roadway and struck a tree coming to rest off the roadway south of the tree, facing northbound.

The passenger side of the vehicle was significantly crushed and damaged. Pieces of the truck and tree lay dozens of feet from the wreck.

All four teens were out of the vehicle when the Millsap Volunteer Fire Department arrived, and two were lying on the ground, according to firefighters.

CareFlite and Air Evac each transported one person from the scene by air and LifeCare transported another by ground.

Injuries reportedly included broken bones and all were conscious when they were transported, according to the fire department.

Witnesses said the individual not transported was the driver.

Some or all of those involved were believed to be Millsap High School seniors, though the Democrat was unable to verify their names by deadline.

The Air Force Academy recently graduated their first openly gay cadets. What does this signify?

Nothing. There have always been gay cadets, they just haven't been open.
A step backward. Sexual orientation issues shouldn't be a part of the military.
A step forward. The military needs to be open to people of all backgrounds.
No opinion.
