Weatherford High School Band to host fundraiser

The Weatherford High School Band Fan Club, a booster organization for all bands across Weatherford ISD, will have a dinner, live and silent auction, concert and bake sale fundraiser on Saturday, March 2, from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. at the Weatherford High School Cafeteria at Interstate 20 and Bethel Road.

Weatherford High School band students will perform for your enjoyment throughout the night as well as the jazz band to welcome you in. For table reservations, contact Sharry Jones at fundraising@weatherfordroobands.org or call 817-565-2980.

Dinner will be catered by Babe’s. Tickets are $13 in advance or $15 cash at the door. There will be a limited supply at the door.

This year starts a new tradition with the selling of sponsor tables. These are round tables for eight and are $200, or individual sponsor seats may be purchased for $25. Sponsor tables and sponsor seats include dinner.

“If you would like to donate to the auction or bake sell, please feel free to contact me,” Jones said. “If the item donated is worth $25 or more your company logo will be printed in our program for the evening.”

The booster club serves more than 350 Weatherford students, making it one of the largest booster organizations in the district. Proceeds will go toward scholarships, individual lessons, band camps, concert uniforms, insurance and maintenance for the band’s trailers, operational expenses such as equipment and storage space, as well as rentals, awards and social events.
