Traffic back-up causes frustration Tuesday evening

PARKER COUNTY — Traffic was backed up for several miles along Interstate 20 Tuesday afternoon and early evening following emergency construction on the westbound lanes just past the 403 exit, which shut down the highway for several hours.

Weatherford Director of Transportation Terry Hughes said he was informed that the issue stemmed from a “road failure of some kind,” but he did not know the extent of the problem.

Traffic was diverted at Dennis Road and re-routed to Spur 312, where drivers were able to get on the westbound service road to continue their journey.

Traffic crews looked as if they were filling a hole on the road.

Additional information was not available at deadline Tuesday.

The Air Force Academy recently graduated their first openly gay cadets. What does this signify?

Nothing. There have always been gay cadets, they just haven't been open.
A step backward. Sexual orientation issues shouldn't be a part of the military.
A step forward. The military needs to be open to people of all backgrounds.
No opinion.
