Junior slotback Tyler Henderson took a pitch from quarterback Mitchael Rucker and scampered 15 yards around right end, crossing the goalline with eight seconds left as Weatherford came from behind to beat The Colony Friday night, 34-31. The touchdown run was Henderson's only touch of the game, subbing for sophomore slot Trooper Reynolds.
Weatherford dominated early in the contest, going up 28-12 before Roos' turnovers allowed the Cougars to close the gap and eventually score a go-ahead touchdown with 11 ticks left in the third period. With less than three minutes left in the game, Weatherford drove 79 yards in 12 plays. FullbackJaren Gentry had 4 carries for 45 yards in the winning drive.
