Oh, Christmas tree – it’s time to go

City’s curbside tree recycling program begins Monday

The City of Weatherford Sanitation Department will begin recycling Christmas trees Monday.

Simply place your tree at the curb on the regularly scheduled bulk collection day for your area. The bulk collection schedule can be found online at weather fordtx.gov. Click on Sanitation Department.  You can also call customer service at 817-598-4145 for information regarding collection schedules.

Please remove all lights, decorations, stands and nails from trees and do not place trees in bags.

Collected Christmas trees will be recycled into mulch, which will be available to city residents on a first-come, first-serve basis beginning March 1 at 810 E. Oak St..

Call 817-598-4145 with questions or for additional information.
