MLK celebration event Monday

The 21st Annual Martin Luther King Jr. Celebration is Monday at the Weatherford Ninth Grade Center, 1007 S. Main.

The event, titled “My Dream: Yesterday, Today & Tomorrow,” will begin at 5:30 p.m.

The celebration will include an awards ceremony for coloring, essay and artistic expressions entries from students of Parker County schools.

Talent will be provided by Maxine Sneed (song), Jamie Gray (dancing) and Mojo (music.)

Guest speakers are Johnita Darton and Charlton Woodly.

Monday is Martin Luther King Jr. Day, a national holiday. Federal, state, county and city offices will be closed in observance.
