City council will meet tonight at 6:30 p.m. at City Hall to consider a resolution regarding the city of Hudson Oaks and an ordinance amendment for the Parker County Hospital District.
Don Stephens, planning and development director, is scheduled to present a first reading amending a Planned Development Zoning District and Land Use regulations for the Parker County Hospital District.
“The hospital district has, over the years, developed probably five to seven planned development overlays,” he explained “In our research we find there’s not a lot of solid language for land use regulation in there.”
Stephens said the change will probably take several amendments to get in order but hopes this will being to clear up some of the confusion.
Assistant City Manager Robert Hanna will present an item that supports a pass-through toll agreement between Hudson Oaks and the Texas Department of Transportation.
“Hudson Oaks wants to improve some access points at the intersection of 1-20 and Centerpoint, a portion of those roads are in Weatherford city limits, at no cost to the city” he said. “Basically we’re getting roads improved in our city limits for free so it makes sense to support it.”
Another item on the agenda includes a proposal by Councilman Jerry Clinton to change the name of the Denton Street extension to Jack Borden Way.
