Aledo city council will meet tonight to discuss regular agenda items and hold a public hearing on the water and sewer rate increase.
Last meeting, Chris Ekrut, senior consultant for J. Stowe and Co., presented three water and three sewer rate options which the council can choose and pair together.
Even though each require an increase Ekrut said the increases are “less than expected because of budget management from the council.”
City Secretary Kathleen Wedell said a special agenda meeting is schedule for Nov. 30 to finalize the new rates.
The meeting beings tonight at 7 p.m. at the Aledo Community Center.
