WEATHERFORD — An announcement from the City of Weatherford advises motorist more police will be around shopping areas throughout the holidays.
“Please be advised that beginning this Friday, and for the duration of this holiday season, the Weatherford Police Department will have an increased presence and will monitor traffic situations in high-traffic shopping areas,” the release stated.
According to the city, officers will not be directing traffic; however, in an effort to encourage local shopping, officers will be readily available to help address specific problem areas.
Additionally, for the Thanksgiving Holiday weekend, construction crews will not be working in the vicinity of I-20 and South Main.
