Angels ready for adoption


WEATHERFORD — Parker County Angel Trees are up and ready for generous community members to shop for.

The Santa’s Helpers/Angel Tree program is organized by Manna Storehouse with the help of the Salvation Army, and benefits children in Parker County.

According to Santa’s Helpers Chair Brenda Arnold, the need is greater this year than ever, with more than 1,000 Parker County children registered and late registrants still to be added.

Angels can by picked up from the following locations in Weatherford: Weatherford Police Department, First Financial Bank branches, Plains Capital Bank, The Bank of Weatherford, Crockett National Bank, Compass Bank on the Square, Mader-Bagley Insurance, Jacy Guynes Insurance, Weatherford ISD District Services Building, and many businesses and churches.

Gifts are to be returned between Dec. 7 and Dec. 18, with exact times and places on the reverse side of the Angels.

Donations to Santa’s Helpers to provide gifts for unadopted angels may be sent or delivered to Manna Storehouse, 129 E. Spring St., P.O. Box 9, Weatherford, Texas 76086.
