Surprise snowfall hits Weatherford

Staff Reports

The slight chance of snow forecast Tuesday turned into a reality Wednesday morning as a light dusting of the white stuff greeted Weatherford residents.

As of 8 a.m. snow was still falling and a coating of about a half-inch was on the ground in most areas of the city.

A slight chance of snow remains in the local weather forecast for the next couple of days.

Clouds are expected to clear out late Wednesday making way for what forecasters believe will be the first freeze of the season. The chill remains for Thursday as highs reach only the mid 40s. Thursday’s low of 31 is wrapped around a 20 percent chance of snow.

The sun returns Friday but the chill stays around, too. Following a low temp in the mid 20s Friday morning, the high is expected to be in the mid 40s to end the work week.

The Air Force Academy recently graduated their first openly gay cadets. What does this signify?

Nothing. There have always been gay cadets, they just haven't been open.
A step backward. Sexual orientation issues shouldn't be a part of the military.
A step forward. The military needs to be open to people of all backgrounds.
No opinion.
