Crime of the Week: Crime Stoppers seeks info on mailbox vandals

Parker County Sheriff’s Criminal Investigations Division is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying and locating the suspects responsible for recently smashing dozens of mailboxes in the area of FM 1885 in Parker County.

Sheriff’s deputies were called to Advance Road around 10 a.m. Thursday in reference to a criminal mischief call. The victim reported sometime overnight, unknown suspects damaged his mailbox using what seemed to be an aluminum baseball bat.

Deputies conducted an initial investigation discovering a total of 74 mailboxes had similar damage in the area including on Advance Road, FM 1885, Red Top Road and West Dry Creek Road.

Anyone with information about these crimes is encouraged to contact the Parker County Sheriff’s Office immediately at (817) 594-8845 or the Parker County Crime Stoppers hotline at (817) 599-5555. Callers may remain anonymous when calling the hotline.
