Parker County will stage its annual Countywide Cleanup from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, April 6.
All county residents, including those who live inside city boundaries, are allowed to participate and may bring their disposables to the nearest precinct barn.
Most items will be accepted, including aluminum, iron, glass, dried paint cans, lumber, limbs and brush, newspapers, cardboard, furniture, appliances and tires (rims removed).
Unacceptable items include commercial waste, chemicals, shingles, wet paint and flammables.
As a courtesy to precinct workers, items should be bagged securely — no loose garbage — and separated to speed unloading and reduce labor.

From Highway 51 N turn east on Veal Station Road, go to Old Springtown Road, turn south — stay to the left at stockpile. The precinct barn is on the right.
• Precinct 2, 3033 FM 1885 Road, Weatherford

From Weatherford, take FM 920 west, seven miles to FM 1885, turn west, go four miles. The precinct barn is on the west side of FM 1885 at the intersection of New Authon and FM 1885.
Precinct 2 is also offering a drop-off site for non-perishable items — Boost, Ensure and canned foods — that will be donated to Manna Storehouse, the Parker County Senior Center and Center of Hope.
• Precinct 3, 1111 FM Road 1189, Weatherford

From Interstate 20 W to exit 397, FM 1189, turn left and cross overpass. The precinct barn is one mile on the left.
• Precinct 4, 1320 Airport Road, Aledo

Exit 415, FM 5 south, 2 1/2 miles, turn right on Airport Road, approximately two miles to the barn.
County officials suggest residents form “clean teams” to clean and mow around personal and public property and roadways, offering help to the elderly and disabled.
Collection bags are available at the precincts.
Teams should wear bright colored clothing and protective gloves, eye wear and shoes.
