Woman charged with murder

FROM STAFF REPORTS

SPRINGTOWN – A Parker County woman is in jail this morning on a charge of murder following a shooting late Friday night at a residence in the 3500 block of State Highway 199 West.

Roni Catherine Lisenbe, 33, was arrested on the charge. No bond had been set as of late Saturday morning.

Sheriff Larry Fowler said deputies were called to the residence around 10:30 p.m. He said Lisenbe called 911, telling dispatchers she shot her boyfriend, identified as Richard Graves, 38.

When deputies arrived, Lisenbe was found sitting on the front porch and Graves was on the bedroom floor of their residence.

Lisenbe was arrested without incident. She reportedly told investigators a domestic dispute led to a physical altercation. She said she retrieved a Glock 23 handgun and shot Graves in the abdomen.

He was transported to Harris Northwest Hospital in Azle, where he was pronounced dead.

The case is currently under investigation.

The Democrat is working to gather more information on this incident.
