WC's Mineral Wells campus locks doors over concerns

MINERAL WELLS – Out of an over-abundance of caution, the Weatherford College Police Department has locked exterior doors and added extra security to the Education Center at Mineral Wells this afternoon.

This is in response to an unspecified threat in the general Fort Wolters area. This is not considered a “lock-down” per se but only a precautionary measure. Students and personnel are able to leave the campus as desired.

College officials have stated there is no overt threat to WC students, faculty or staff at the ECMW.
