Ladycats fall in state semifinal game

By GREG WEBB

AUSTIN — Making their first trip to the UIL state championships, the Aledo Ladycats got off to a fast start, playing with energy and intensity in the first quarter.

But the Dallas Lincoln Lady Tigers were able to withstand Aledo's early attack and eventually took control of the game, winning the state semifinal match, 64-44. Aledo ends its season with a 30-8 record and a bronze medal in the program's first trip to the high school basketball championships.
