Five arrested in prostitution sting

Five people, including two men that investigators believe to be pimps, were arrested on charges stemming from a prostitution sting in Weatherford late Friday and early Saturday.

Law enforcment officers with the Weatherford-Parker County Special Crimes Unit targeted online ads on Backpage.com and FWWeekly.com advertising services provided in the west Fort Worth area, SCU Sgt. James Peel said.

Several suspected escorts and their escorts showed up to an undisclosed location in Weatherford, where the men and women were arrested.

Those arrested on misdemeanor prostitution charges include Crystall Charlene Hudson, 31, of Richardson; TJ Wayne Loveless, 35, of Fort Worth; and Daria Jeanine McDonald, 32, of Fort Worth.

The two men who accompanied the two women – and were believed to be receiving a cut of the profits – were also arrested and charged, Peel said.

Derrick Demond Hill, 27, of Bedford, was charged with misdemeanor promotion of prostitution.

Jay Alan Jackson, 36, of Fort Worth, was charged with felony possession of a controlled substance, less than a gram. Jackson had heroin in his possession, according to Peel.

Local law enforcement routinely run these type of operations in the county because of the close connection between prostitution and drug trafficking and drug trafficking and other crimes, Weatherford Police Chief Mike Manning said, adding the prostitution operations are a general crime control measure.

All those arrested were in possession of drug paraphernalia, in addition to the suspect who actually had heroin on him, according to Peel.
