Precinct 3 invites resident input

By JUDY SHERIDAN

Parker County Precinct 3, headed up by new commissioner Larry Walden, is inviting residents to have a say in goal-setting through a series of stakeholder meetings scheduled for this month and the next.

The meetings will be conducted Feb. 19 at ESD No. 7 Greenwood Fire Station, 1418 Greenwood Cut Off Road in Weatherford; Feb. 21 at the Brock Community Center, 625 Olive Branch Road in Weatherford; March 5 at ESD No. 6 Fire Station, 6300 Granbury Highway in Weatherford; and March 7 at the Millsap Community Center, 104 Fannin in Millsap. All the meetings will begin at 7 p.m.

“We’re going to use these to take citizen input, whether they want to talk about potholes or the tax rate,” Walden said. “We want to hear from our constituents and look at our policies as we formulate long-range plans.”

The meetings will also include presentations explaining how precincts operate and where property tax money goes, Walden said.
