Louis V. Duvall

Louis V. Duvall, 70, a lifelong resident of Poolville, Texas, died Saturday, July 8, 2006, at his home.

Louis was born in the Advance Community to Haller (H.O.) Duvall and Maggie Measures Duvall on April 10, 1936. He graduated Poolville High School in 1954, and on July 4, 1955, he married his high school sweetheart, Vernell Watson. A man of many trades, Louis owned various businesses throughout the years, and for the past 20 years owned and operated Louis Duvall Farm Equipment. He was very much loved and will be missed by his family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his mother and father; two brothers and one sister.

Survivors include his devoted wife of 51 years, Vernell Duvall of Peaster; daughter, Carmen Sandlin and husband, Royce, of Peaster; sons, Lynn Duval and wife, Wendy, of Poolville, Scottie Duval and wife, Amy, of Brock; seven grandchildren, Lindsey Gonzalez and husband, Romeo, Brady Sandlin and wife, Maegan, Callie Sandlin, Cole Duvall, Bailey Duvall, Reid Duvall, Clair Duvall; brothers, Delvin Duvall and wife, Peggy, Fred Duvall and wife, Loise, sister in law, Bonnie Duvall; many nieces and nephews.

Funeral service is 10 a.m. Wednesday, July 12, 2006, in the North Side Baptist Church in Weatherford. Visitation is 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel.
