Joe Bruce Schultz - In Memoriam

— A memorial service for Joe Schultz will be held Thursday, June 26, 2012, at 10 a.m. at Chandor Gardens, 711 West Lee Ave., Weatherford.

Joe Bruce Schultz, 61, passed away June 22. Joe was a retired school business administrator and teacher for more than 30 years. Most recently, Joe was Weatherford ISD’s Assistant Superintendent for Business and Operations for 11 years before his retirement after the 2009 school year. He was born in Canyon, Texas, in 1950; graduated from Olton High School in 1969, then from West Texas State College with a Bachelor of Science, and with a Master of Education from North Texas State University. He was a United States Army veteran with the 1st Battalion 7th Cavalry of the 1st Cavalry Division Airmobile Unit. Joe was awarded numerous medals and honorable citations while in Vietnam from July 1970 through September 1971, among them the Air Medal and Bronze Star Medal.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Weatherford ISD Education Foundation.
