Benjamin ‘Ben’ Mitchell Lang

WEATHERFORD —

Benjamin “Ben” Mitchell Lang, 29, our beloved son, surrounded by all his loved ones, passed away and went to be with his precious Lord and Saviour Saturday, Feb. 6, 2010, after a courageous battle with stomach cancer.

Ben was born Feb. 11, 1980, in Weatherford, Texas, to Alvin (Butch) and Donna Lang. He graduated from Weatherford High School in 1998, and attended Weatherford College. Ben was employed by Hobson Air Conditioning/Comfort Experts since 1998, doing lawn and maintenance. He loved sports, fishing, and being surrounded by all his family and many friends.

He attended Shady Grove Baptist Church. Ben will be missed greatly by his family and friends.

Ben was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Alfred Tillery.

Ben is survived by his loving parents, Alvin and Donna Lang; sister, Misty Holder; nieces, Chelsea and Cala Holder; grandparents, Jerry and Gloria Lang and Maurice Tillery Galbreath of Weatherford; uncle, Eddie Doster and wife, Lottie; aunt, Debra (Lang) McCoy and husband, Darrel McCoy; cousins, Pamela, Dottie and Utah Doster, Mark and Patrick McCoy; his special cancer dog, Nellie; and numerous extended family and friends.

Family requests donations to Shady Grove Baptist Church Building Fund, 2470 West Lambert Road, Weatherford, Texas 76088.

Services will be 2 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 11, 2010 at North Side Baptist Church with Rev. Danny Grisso officiating with the eulogy by Philip Hobson. Burial will be in the Greenwood Community Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 10, 2010, at the Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel.
