Josh D. “JD” Richards, 88, died Friday, Jan. 11, 2013, in Weatherford.
Graveside service is 1 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 15, at Megargel Cemetery in Megargel, Texas. Visitation is 6-8 p.m. Monday at Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel.
He was born Dec. 28, 1924, to John Robert and Willie Laura Holmsley Richards in Whitt, Texas. He was an avid Wanda’s goer, loved to take long drives, loved baseball games and was a member of The Assembly of God Church.
He leaves behind to cherish is memories daughters, Benita Bingham, of Hudson, Fla., and Cathy Chancellor, of Weatherford; son, Jeff Richards and wife, Joann, of El Paso; eight grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild on the way.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Billie Richards; and parents, John and Willie Richards.
